Name: Skuld
Canon: Valkyrie Connect
Canon point: Once she's already teamed up with her companions and begun her quest to halt Ragnarok.
Age: Mentally and Physically: About 18ish. It's never been revealed what age she was when she ascended to Aesir, and Aesir are essentially immortal so she could have lived an exceedingly long time. She has a very youthful approach to life.
Canon history: N/A
History:
Before becoming an Aesir, or Goddess, herself Skuld was a human who resided in Midgard. Her father was a nomadic warrior King that exerted his control over the neighboring tribes through conquest and violence. Through his efforts he was able to unify a large collection of kingdoms into one, however tensions were ever present and eventually he was assassinated, his family condemned to death. The executions were not carried out expediently, so it gave Skuld plenty of time to reflect on her life and that of her father's. While she did love him, she found that she disagreed with his methods. Skuld would have preferred to end the bloodshed and bring true lasting peace to the world. Her desire was so strong and true that Odin himself descended from Asgard and made her an offer she couldn't refuse. He told her that the only way she could achieve her wishes was by ascending and becoming a Valkyrie, so she accepted this, and returned with him to the heavens.
There is some ambiguity on how long Skuld had been a Valkyrie before the events took place in the canon. It has been long enough however that she was able to forge strong bonds with her fellow Valkyries and make a name for herself, so it was presumably a considerable amount of time.
When a calamity begins to unfold on Midgard, Skuld was dispatched to investigate it and bring it to a conclusion. When she arrived, it was soon discovered that it was a fellow Aesir that was the source of the problem. Apparently the Queen of the Underworld, Hel, was seeking retribution and for a solution to the poisoning of her kingdom's waterways. She firmly placed the blame on the humans of Midgard. Teaming up with a human that had been chosen by an ancient artifact in order to carry out a great destiny, Skuld and the human went to confront Hel and save those that were in need. The attempt swiftly escalated, resulting in Skuld being hit with a curse that should have been fatal, even to an Aesir. She is fortunate enough to be cleansed by the power of the Runic knife, the aforementioned ancient artifact, and is able to proceed with her mission, following Hel back to Helheim. When they find that Hel is in no position to repulse them now, having tried to purify the water herself and therefore taking the brunt of the poison into her body. The Runic knife is then used once again to restore Hel with it's mysterious powers. It's only after this point that the trio is able to discuss the matter civilly. Together, they find the true source of the poison, which is a giant serpent dragon named Nidhogg. What's most troubling is that there is someone else operating in the shadows beyond this great beast. So once he is dispensed with all three of them go to Asgard to speak with Odin.
In Asgard they discover that this trouble between Helheim and Midgard is not isolated, and that demons are beginning to appear in all sorts of lands they never had before. Odin explains that this is the beginning of Ragnarok, and he tells the three of them to undergo training in order to prevent the end of the world from coming to be. Skuld's canon point begins after this discussion and after the three, Hel, the wielder of the Runic knife, and herself begin their journey.
Personality:
Dutiful: Skuld might be an optimistic and cordial person but she takes her duties seriously. She's wholly committed to preventing Ragnarok, and to her loyalties to Odin, who presides over all the Gods and Goddesses. In one instance Odin attacked the party, commanding them to fight him and it was Skuld that was the most against the altercation but she relented and went through with it. Even after they learned it was an elaborate ruse to test their strength, she defended him to the rest of the party. Hel stated that Odin should just be straightforward with his designs and requests, and Skuld tried to redirect her to what they really should have taken away from the exchange, much to Hel's annoyance. She places a lot of faith in Odin, and her fellow party members, and the other Valkyries preferring to give them the benefit of the doubt. This is something that could be easily abused for ill purpose if oh say someone tried to impersonate someone she held in this high regard, or if any of these people had changes of heart all on their own.
Friendly – Once any misunderstandings have been cleared up, Skuld is usually the first one to offer a kind smile, or words of encouragement. Out of her party of adventurers she is the most approachable and easy going. For an example, during a harvest festival that spanned all the realms an unusual occurrence transpired where most of the attendees fell into a deep sleep in which they couldn't be woken from by normal means. When the source was discovered to be the golden apples provided by Idun, Goddess of the Harvest, Skuld tried to comfort her and tell her that this wasn't her fault. Idun had tried to enchant the apples to make them have additional benefits for consuming them but the spells mixed and it caused a disaster. So although it was technically her fault, Skuld knew that no ill-intent was present and she tried to alleviate the other Aesir's guilt. In day to day activities, Skuld will often make tea for her party members, or gather food to share with them. She seems to be quite well known in Asgard and it is likely derived from her openness and kindness to whomever she comes across. She likes to include others in recreational activities, and often is talking the more standoffish Hel into participating in things she normally would just blow off like. This part of her personality can be grating to some that are not nearly as big on socializing.
Compassionate: As a Valkyrie and in her previous existence as a human, Skuld has always wanted to spare others suffering and strife. It's part of why she is so willing to accept a variety of requests from some of the various species they meet along their journey. When they first traveled to the outskirts of Nordica they found Princess Senna, the eighth crown princess of the aforementioned kingdom. She had single-handedly taken out a passel of demons that were threatening to invade her city. Skuld, realizing the girl's position cautioned her against fighting like that alone because if something happened to her there was no one watching her back. She was adamantly against the princess engaging in such an activity because of her other presumed duties until they were able to enter the city limits and hear more about her tale. Apparently as the eighth princess she was seen as a drain on resources by her people, and Senna was only trying to find another way to be useful, and earn the trust and acceptance of the kingdom. Once Skuld knew the reasoning she understood Senna's drive and could relate to it, advising her on a better way of proceeding forward with her aims. Sometimes this compassionate side of Skuld can make her more susceptible to believe stories she hears too readily, as they pull on her heart strings. Someone with nefarious designs and a conniving mind could play on this.
Courageous: Skuld always tries to give it her all even in the presence of seemingly insurmountable odds. She doesn't hesitate to take on demons, legendary beasts, or the towering giants the Jotuns if it's for a good cause. It's not as if she wants to wield her blade carelessly or strike down any opponent that doesn't deserve it. When she is dealt a near fatal blow in the beginning of the story, she still wants to continue on her mission stating that “This is nothing” when it is clearly the opposite and she was in real danger of having her soul devoured by a powerful curse. Even when Hel offers to lift the curse in exchange for the death of the runic knife bearer, Skuld refuses immediately knowing that she may not recover on her own. She gladly places the life of others above her own as she has sworn to protect others and bring about peace to the world. There are some drawbacks to this element of her personality. Since she is so willing to jump into a variety of frays it increases the likelihood that some harm may befall her in the future. It has nearly cost her her life on a number of occasions but somehow she's been fortunate so far. Sometimes she doesn't concern herself enough with her own well being and it's up to those around her to convince her when she needs to take it easy.
Always Keep In Mind:
Skuld used to be human, so there are still habits she maintains from that life even though it's in the distant past. For one, she still consumes food- copious amounts of it even though Aesir's have less of a need for such things. She hasn't let her hunting skills diminish, either. It's also important to remember that above all else she wants to protect others and find a way to alleviate the need for bloodshed or wars. She's loyal to those who get close to her, and compassionate to most, but she also has a sense of humor an an optimistic view on life.

Questions:
What do you want to study at Diatu Magicademy?
Is there a class on food? Maybe magical cooking? That could be fun! If not then magical food eating could be my second choice! I do think I will get the best scores in lunchtime.
If you knew you could go back to the moment you left, would you leave immediately or continue your studies for a while?
Absolutely I would return! I was in the middle of a very important mission from omnipotent Odin to prevent Ragnarok. If I don't return a lot of people would be in danger.
If your enemy was at Diatu Magicademy, how would you react?
If I knew who the enemy was... We still haven't discovered who is trying to bring about Ragnarok. But, if I knew and if that person were here I would do everything in my power to prevent them from returning to our world and continuing with their evil plans.
When is it acceptable to resolve a dispute by force?
When not doing so means that other people will suffer or die.
What should the supreme goal of any wizard be?
To do the best you can to bring peace and happiness to the world.
